Summer may be winding down, but we’ll hold on till the bitter end…
Apparently, Michigan’s Vulfpack get their name from the studio where they all used to gig. Their funky track Back Pocket is a guaranteed head shaker perfect for your pre-night out routine.
Gemini brings us a laid back homage to summer nights on the porch with your besties. Grab your fav drink and give Hoops a turn.
I’m in love with Morgan Delt’s Some Sunsick Day! If Gemini has a lock on summer nights, Some Sunsick Day was tailor made for sunset drives in the desert on your way to the future. Put this on repeat folks.
London’s Oscar has my new favorite diss, “boring”. I just love the absolutely dismissive way he pronounces it in his track Breaking My Phone. I don’t know how you feel about people who don’t return texts, but I’m with Oscar on this one.
Ever wondered what you would get if you combined Cayucos with Foster the People? I don’t know, but Gum by Oyster Kids seems like a good starting point.
Half Minature Tigers and half Chrome Sparks, Promises Ltd. has what could turn out to be THE summer track of 2016 in American Eyes. Sure it has a catchy melody, but it was the song’s lyrics that really grabbed me. “They put roses where roses shouldn’t be, I end up thinking about who I was, and how I always confuse what we had with love.”
I don’t know anything about the Refs, but I knew I was going to feature Turn Around as soon as I heard it. Take a listen and see why.
I have a soft spot for folky sounding indie tracks. Wild fits the bill with their track Silver & Gold.
