Summer is all about new experiences. With Brandon relocating to the Caribbean and me getting hitched in Africa, dealing with change is something we’re becoming quite comfortable with. Here’s hoping your summer is everything you want it to be.
Tipling Rock’s indie sound screams Aussie to my ears, but this Boston foursome shows that you don’t necessarily need sun-kissed beaches to make sparkling indie music. Staring is the proof. *fun fact: I think the drummer is a dead ringer for Brandon.
Joe Goddard’s Ordinary Madness gets the RAC treatment and becomes THE chill track of your summer. I’ll definitely be blowing it up on the beaches in SE Asia later this month.
Albion is apparently the oldest known name for Great Britain. It’s also the name of an old Amiga computer game. The fact that I knew the latter over the former tells you everything you need to know about me. Albion is also the band behind the sparse electro banger Hypnotized.
Now this is something different. Red Line is equal parts 80’s casio keyboard and the love child of Beck and Riff Raff. Boasting of robbing the DEA and doing coke isn’t something I would normally condone, but Geordie Kieffer doesn’t seem to have the same apprehensions. This guy is on my watchlist.
Howling by Romanian Pierșinaru Vlad isn’t a new track by any means, but I stumbled across it recently and thought it fit the vibe of this post perfectly. Insert bad dracula joke here.
L.A. product Shoffy has that ‘guitar riff over club beat’ vibe that seems to take over each summer. 100% sure Motions ends up in the background of someone’s summer vimeo video. Francios and Matteo – Ibiza 2017!!
